Norwich bingo Hall has been named the unofficial "luckiest bingo hall" in the United Kingdom. Norwich, in East Anglia, is a nice place, and the nearby Norfolk coastline is very scenic, but what is it that has suddenly made lady Luck spend her holidays here? Well let's be honest here- first of all this is unofficial, and appeared in Norwich local papers, so may not stand up to a comparison country-wide with a High Court Judge presiding... But the figures are impressive- Four big jackpot winners won a staggeringly huge combined £156,000 in one week.

The first incredible win was for £16,666 by a woman who won a full house in 44 calls. The next big winner came three days later, when a lady won £20,000 after completing a full house in just 45 numbers. And the week's biggest winner came a day later, when a Norwich woman won £100,000 on the National Game with a full house in just 40 numbers! The mother-of-two and grandmother-of-four were shocked and overjoyed at her enormous windfall. And the last of the crazy winning spree came when a bingo player won £20,000 in 41 balls.

The Bingo Hall's general manager, said that "it was a fantastically lucky week." He can say that again. Is this going to mean that seasoned Bingoists are going to uproot and commute to Norwich to bask in the rays of the current luck? Whoa- before you do- think about this- maybe it's the players themselves that are lucky – a fellow Norwich Bingo Hall player, 63, was there when the lucky couple won £100,000. She said: "We call him jingle bells because he goes on the machines downstairs and comes running back with pockets jingling." So maybe it's the players bringing their luck to the place, rather than the other way round!

One wonders how long this can last. We all know Lady Luck is as fickle as an indecisive butterfly in a Dutch Tulip Field- but where we she go next? Maybe get a fast train to London, maybe hire a boat to go up the East coast of England to Newcastle? Or maybe, even more radically, she will dissipate her form into the internet and bless a certain area of online Bingo! Or maybe she'll go abroad? Winter in the Caribbean... and yes, they play Bingo there too!
